Chalon-sur-Saône, better than Kyoto

Kyoto in Burgundy is in Chalon-sur-Saône. The municipality presented yesterday the results of three years of efforts to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions within the framework of the Privileges program (city initiative project for the reduction of greenhouse gases). And this record is stupendous: in three years, the city has reduced its CO2 emissions by 5,8% in its municipal assets (buildings, public lighting and vehicle fleet) and by 11,1% in its urban heating networks and of water. Chalon-sur-Saône is a mini-Kyoto on the scale of 52 inhabitants.
