The prices of a barrel of oil are increasing. The French Prime Minister is speaking today of an oil shock. Steps are being taken to prevent the bankruptcy of farmers, fishermen and road hauliers. What's going on ? The shock we are experiencing is not of the same nature as those of 1973 and 1979. This time around, there will no longer be a return to cheap oil. The novelty of the current situation is mainly due to three factors - geological, economic and geopolitical - which were not present in the past and which contribute to the increase in the prices of oil and, by propagation, of all energies . Inflation will contaminate all other sectors of activity, on all continents.
