It's not sheathed, it doesn't look like it but it generates a good flow of air.

Hello, thank you for your answers.

Indeed a ceiling fan would be the simplest and most effective solution.
But, there is always a but ... this solution does not suit us from an aesthetic point of view (it is a point of view) and practical there will be a great chandelier in this volume.

What would suit us more would be a kind of "VMC", a tubed and hidden system with a suction grid in the upper part and a discharge grid in the lower part with an air extractor (see attached piece).

Has anyone ever seen or done something like this?

The small streamlined fan is not bad for aesthetics (discreet) and works pretty well (not tried in a large volume), but the problem becomes noise. Certain manufacturers display it, it can help in the choice. In a quiet, silent room, it's heavy ....

Yeah ... I put one to ventilate my toilet with automatic ignition with the light (no window in this room) at ... I had to modify the wiring ... The noise was annoying ... now a push button triggers it when you press the large flush only

For the unsightly side of ceiling fans there are models with retractable blades that deploy with centrifugal force, it's just more expensive, between 100 and 300 €
