Hello.
there are so many configurations possible.
The simplest is the waterproof cover.
A dishwasher pump programmed with a strainer.
Something bubble that makes you gurgling.
Collect rainwater to complete the level.
Macrophyte reeds to clean and water lilies to look pretty.
Goldfish and a frog.
The oxygenation of water is done alone by contact with air.
It's 20cm² per fish, something like that (or per cm of fish: I don't know).
If the frog stays it's good : Cheesy:

Hi plasmanu,

I do not want fish in this pond and especially not, even if I find them very beautiful, Khois.

My goal is to obtain healthy water without using a pump for filtration and to use only regional plants. For the zanimaux, we are going to try that they come without my intervention ...

I have already seen lots of books on this subject.

Try to type "mare" in e-bay, category "books": you will surely find some cheaply.

I bought a book recently called "A Pond of Water in Your Garden" by Philip Swindells. It is not bad at first glance.

The approach is interesting, even if the sentence: "I want to create a natural pond... "contains a contradiction in its terms!
But there are more official and less innocent, these oxymorons ...

I advise you to put some fish there, indeed your pond will become
quickly a breeding of mosquitoes.
Plan to place moss or other short vegetables on the
edges of the pond. This will prevent the young frogs that leave the
mare are not taped around and do not die desiccated.
It is preferable to plan the planting of a large consumer of fertilizers
such as cattails. The aerial part must be harvested every fall and
reduce their numbers every year after two or three years.
Provide a deeper area of 1 m to allow hibernation of
frost-free animals.
The ideal is to build an island by heaping stones. This will avoid
the bursting of the basin when the water freezes deep.
I built my hard basin 6 years ago. There were no worries
except where I made a modification (fall) after construction.
so let the pond be made in one piece.
I made my pool in 4 layers of mortar, the last one including a water repellent. The first layer is a generous gobing directly
project on the ground. Then I put a trellis for hens by superimposing the fittings. I hold the trellis with stones in many
places and fixed it with a mortar pad. Once the trellis is well laid.
I have the mortar plate up to the trellis then 1 to 2 cm of mortar over the entire surface of the basin making the edges. The trellis must be well covered. Rub the mortar before setting with a sponge
Then finally a whitewash of liquid mortar followed by a whitewash
with water repellent.
Here is my composition of the mortar:
3 yellow sand sand
1 sieve rhine sand
1 cement (from gamma, hydrolic lime would have been preferable. The mortar must remain very flexible)
1 hazelnut of fiber (stop crack, can be replaced by a PE cable
cut into 5 mm slices and cut well 2 cm in diameter 10 is enough)
a few drops of dreft dish soap

Waterfall before change

The fatal modification that must be re-joined every year at the connection

Hoping I could help.
