Startpage.com is a privacy-friendly search engine that aims to protect your personal data. It was designed in the Netherlands. The Startpage database is based on that of Google; the company purchased access to Google's data, but uses it without all the logs and other trackers. This allows you to enjoy quality search results, but without the personalized ads. You can use it without your personal data being collected. This also means that Google's "echo chamber", when it only presents you with results that will confirm your opinions, will no longer be a problem. In 2019, Startpage won the Dutch Privacy Awards, which proves the quality of this search engine, as Dutch privacy legislation is particularly strict.

At the end of 2019, Startpage made headlines as System1, a company in the marketing industry, invested in the company. Many users were worried about their privacy, due to the significant sums invested by System1. Startpage responded to them by affirming that the service will never infringe on their privacy.

Apparently a considerable volume of content written by AI has already been released on the internet...well yes, why bother?

I know people who waver without even re-reading... This makes for "strange" articles (contradiction, opposite meaning, duplicate or useless sentences without head or tail...) but which pass for the neuneus and the search engines.

This might explain that ?

Here's one more thing that I predicted in the debate on AI...
