Intriguing...

The reform of the doctorate, which will come into effect at the start of the 2016 school year, will allow French students graduating from grandes écoles to obtain a Ph.D by validation of acquired experience (VAE). A measure which, according to the teacher-researcher François Garçon, phagocyte the title which makes the glory of the universities in the whole world.

Among other virtues, globalization allows us to better see our weaknesses. Thus, in education, the PISA tests have shown that French schoolchildren were very poor overall: they read rather worse than their European neighbors, calculate more poorly too and have a lower scientific level than their Nordic and Germanic neighbors .

In the broom wagon, we still find most of our universities and almost all of our "grandes écoles" which, as we have been told, the whole world envied us.
