Evolution of the yields of urban lighting bulbs

by Christophe » 20/03/07, 18:37

Fallen (almost) by chance on this page which synthesizes the different lighting technologies (particularly urban):

- FLUORESCENT TUBE:
- MERCURY VAPOR LAMP:
- METAL HALIDE LAMP:
- HIGH PRESSURE SODIUM STEAM LAMP:
- LOW PRESSURE SODIUM STEAM LAMP:
- INCANDESCENT LAMP:
- HALOGEN LAMP:
- INDUCTION LAMP:

Interesting info: spectral distribution and light output of different technologies :)

stop getting excited with the led's: it's been barely ten years since the white led's exist!

it was my dad who developed in 1947 the fluorescent tube of public lighting which lights up at - 20 ° C for the company ACEC of Charleroi.
Before Philips!
