Interesting ... to see how much will be allowed ... and especially where would be the profitability (financially speaking) of such a system ...

Re: CO² Business
Same principle as the exchange of CO2 at European level for companies.
Not bad on the principle to involve everyone.
To see the feasibility. How to allocate quotas? For example, a doctor who makes homes, a plumber ... need to move to work. It should also take into account purchases: if I order my purchases delivered to my home, I do not consume my credit?

Uh ... this solution will not change anything at CO2 emissions ... at least not right away.
I think it's mostly a pedagogical way to change behavior eventually ... a giant Kyot-Home what ...

CO2 my love
yeah .... false good idea.
Even if it works .. assuming no fraud, and how to estimate the conso of a couple without children at home, but who receives his grandchildren at the time of the holidays and some holidays and so warm up their home and consume more elec and gas at Christmas for a week (this is my case) eg this year.
Good to summarize in the end: if you have FRIC, you do not care about quotas: if you go over you pay.
In my opinion (pessimistic), we are badly barred because everyone cares: 5 billion KWh of electricity per year to light city streets ALL nights, is not it totally stupid? If we put a few spotlights by LED lamps. Moreover the association for the protection of the night sky rattles more and more (no site in France to observe the sky correctly). We are in anything. People are moaning for public lighting (OVERLIGHTING streets ALL night: is it really useful?).
I just read "Le plein SVP" by Jean Marc Jancovici and "Life after petroleum" by ??? (a specialist). There is another book that will be released on January 1, 2007: "How the rich destroy the planet" by Hervé Kempf / ed Seuil.
It is very clear, even by applying taxes, it will continue to rise because there will always be "rich" to pay the "fines" for the overproduction of CO2.
Yes, it's hard not to go on a Weekend (CO2) ski (ski lifts = CO2 or nuclear waste) on lit tracks (id °) with your big 4X4 who throws even if you have to mouth in front of the esssence pump !! it makes the bobos more or less young or retired do not go to the other end of the world by plane to bask in the sun of the paradisiac islands.
We have entered the vicious circle of overconsumption and it's very difficult to get out of it: you always find someone who consumes more than you ... so why feel guilty?
To meditate in 2007 !!!

Only when he has brought down the last tree, the last river contaminated, the last fish caught that man will realize that money is not edible (Indian MOHAWK).
