I noticed that a huge majority of politicians come from more literary than technical training ...
Why? Because when you are literary, do you know how to speak better? Do you know how to write better? We know how to convince better while we are completely con on the technique. Do we know better how to write incomprehensible laws? Do we know how to understand them better?
Besides, the ENA program is much more literary than technical.
However, the laws are, for many, based on the technique: how to vote for a law when we do not know what we are talking about? So isn't there a BIG substantive problem in French politics?
I think that elsewhere (especially Germany or the Nordic countries) the "political selection" is more scientific ...
Is the policy reserved for literary people?

Not false...
In reality, the best-placed political figures are those who have the most charisma in public and backstabbing.
They generally come from the ENA.
So you don't have to be a great scientist or technician to succeed.
I even believe that rigor, reflection and scientific prudence are not qualities in politics.
The main thing is to convince the masses by playing on the emotional with persuasion if not to be in the right

Yes!
In any case considering the level of Chirac in English, it is surely not part of the program ...
The curriculum is on wiki: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%89cole ... nistration
Amazing: there are only 2 permanent teachers at the ENA ... including a sports teacher!

You do well to take the example of Research and Education: Allègre was, I think, a good minister, because he himself a teacher-researcher ... we saw the results ... what sarko has done now is good worse than what Allègre wanted to do, right?
Info here: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claude_All ... 97-2000.29
Now the case of ministers is a bit apart because they are not elected but appointed ...
