I did 350000 terminals with my Xantia HDI 110 until a friend burst it into a boar.

Did you put your rustproofing directly on your "black" tubes or did you bleach them?

Um...I brushed it a bit with a wire brush and I bleached where I welded (the most important points for corrosion)!
There's nothing on the box that says you have to whitewash everything with this (old) Sigma anti-rust paint...the sealed jar must be at least 20 years old given the design!

In industry either we let rust then light sanding or we bleach and paint. Our new steel if you paint them as sold you start again 3 years later ...

It was already rusty in places that's why I brushed!
I was planning to put a layer of "real" paint on it afterwards, eh... since I bought the multi-material V33 yesterday (compatible with the spray gun)

I can guarantee you that a stripping worthy of the name makes the difference on the resistance over time... The scrap metal must have a roughness to allow the primer to grip... But hey, I'm talking about installations which are exterior with a ten-year coating guarantee ... Some of which have been painted for 40 years....

Well, it's still safe there... except for the bottom of the body... well, I'll put 2 finishing coats on it then!
