If it's simple flies try with a sign: With a certificate that you have your three doses of Flytox you can go wherever you want....

If it's shitty flies try it: my neighbor earns more money than me

That's radical (you have to turn off the lights other than the UV, because it works on the same principle as what I proposed)

It stinks of burnt insects every time one gets caught, very effective against mosquitoes...

It's been a very long time since I made removable mosquito nets. 1 for each piece. They are half the area of the window. They fit into the left part of the frame and are held in place by the right leaf, the one with the handle. There are almost never any flies or wasps in my house, maybe 1 or 2 a month. It's not complicated to do but you have to be a little handy anyway.

This is also what I did in the hack here self-construction-and-diy/diy-hijacking-life-hacks-of-nice-products-t14666-20.html#p502669

The removable mosquito net then covers the entire surface of the window (I am talking about PVC models) and allows the window to be closed completely with the mosquito net “in place”... Madam does not need to change her habits... and can close the window whenever he wants if it's too cold...

Very well. My windows are also PVC. The removable mosquito net is the best solution against flies.

Another thing: in the past, there were anti-insect lamps for the exterior. They were incandescent lamps that lit up yellow. A priori, it has become untraceable today.

There is indeed this type of anti-insect lamp at LM, but how effective? https://www.leroymerlin.fr/produits/dec ... 87626.html

The yellow filament lamps had a repellent effect.

If you want something effective, you have to inquire in countries infested by insects (like Thailand)

They have, in a UV lamp at 33€, equipped with the same device which electrocutes the insect when it comes into contact with 2 live grids:

something that looks like what I put above (you need a powerful one for flies, otherwise the fly is just groggy, it resists small electrocutions and leaves "resuscitated" after a while...)

After reflection, 1 V/800W seems to me to be the limit for flies or wasps...
4V will be better, especially since this current voltage is only used for the time necessary for the electrocution...
Have to see if there are LED [edit] apparently yes https://www.pearl.fr/article/ZX7032/pie ... lv-520-led

Flies aren't really attracted to UVs or light (at least the ones I have at home...so oua-oua's UV fly repellent proposals don't work...with flies.. .it works with other insects but not flies...)

On the other hand, I found that flies are attracted to heat so they detect infrared!

All hot surfaces are usually...full of fly poo... : Mrgreen:

So it would be necessary to make a "hot" trap to attract and kill the flies...

Here is another free idea of Start-up made in France made in econologie.com!

You drop a bronze that you place in a carton installed behind the grid (with a cardboard cover on the sides, and I guarantee you that they will want to go there and will be thawed... If you can't do it, ask the catho specialist :)

Instead, put an infrared lamp behind (with the cover) it will go slower and it will consume more.
