Nicolas Dufrêne, from the Rousseau Institute, clarified: “There is still a lot of uncertainty about the consequences or the responses to climate change, but the fact that it is linked to human activity is clear, today, of a scientific consensus.” Therefore, “if comments made in the media knowingly denied this phenomenon, without reaction from a journalist to his face, then Arcom must be able to use its power to call to order, or even to sanction”. Before reminding: “Disinformation is already punishable by law. Our goal is that this can also be the case in the area of climate change, in its most fundamental elements, such as the fact that human action has an effect on the climate.”
