Consumer: 60 Millions in danger!

by Christophe » 20/10/14, 22:32

The info dates from last June: the famous and historic magazine 60 Million de consommateurs is in danger by a reduction in state subsidies ... a victim of more "austerity"? The privatization of consumer protection is not really a good thing! :(

Where are we going? Where are we going? : Evil:

On Wednesday June 25, 2014, Secretary of State Carole Delga launched the summer sales period. What she is careful not to say is that her services have decided to exclude the magazine "60 Million consumers" from the activities of the National Institute of Consumption (INC), which publishes it since 1970.

Clearly, the government wants to sell "60 Millions" to a private group. And brutally end this publication known to all French people or almost. Completed independent surveys, studies and tests at the service of consumer protection, finished independent information at the service of the citizen, discarded expertise on behalf of consumer associations: any risk of disappearing, liquidation!

Indeed, the draft objectives and performance contract 2014-2018 as Bercy wants to impose it on the INC plans to remove press activities from the scope of the INC.

Direct consequence: the INC is deprived of the resources of the sales of its newspaper, that is to say three quarters of the turnover, since "60 Millions", non-subsidized activity, allows the Institute to compensate for the dramatic fall in its subsidies ( divided by three in 20 years, - 17% in two years).

Even more serious direct consequence: 60% of employees are threatened both by the sale of the newspaper and by the resulting loss of income for the INC.

And all this for what ?? WE DO NOT KNOW !

Asked from the first day of taking office, Carole Delga did not deign to respond to our multiple requests, forcing us to disrupt the launch of the sales. The government must now assume its actions, explaining why it wants to release "60 Million" from the INC, and why, he who claims to be so attentive to the plight of threatened workers in general, is preparing to launch an absurd social plan.

We ask citizens to sign the online petition on the support committee website http://soutenons60.org, and we ask the Secretary of State to have the courage to face reality.

There are several aspects to be aware of:

1) the concept may have aged and its audience plummeted.

2) at the speed where the models change and with the possibilities to learn about the forums, is it still necessary or possible?

3) the costs of producing a private investor will certainly be much lower than that of a public agency: freelance journalists, Polish technicians, offices in the provinces, lighter equipment.

4) other media of a different style continue to live like "we are not pigeons" on RTBF, which is frankly funny

I am still suspicious of tests for having been a victim of it when I was in Hi Fi: master purchase more available, better device excluded from the panel, questionable comparison criteria, insufficient sampling.

according to the text of the previous message 60million has no problem and it is even a resource for the INC

did he foresee that it would change with the difficulty of all the newspapers competing with the internet? and prefer to sell it while it still has value

in any case it will have less value if it is bought by a financial group whose purpose is contrary to the defense of the consumer

It is an example which illustrates well all the questions around what are the "sovereign" missions ???

Should the state or not take care of consumer protection (in addition to the legislative?) In the form of tests? of information ? Via an institute ...

For those who did not realize it, but there is a rapid dismemberment / privtaisation of many "institutes" or "offices", of all kinds: ONF, INRA, INC, IGN, etc etc etc You can all take !

Ditto for the "associations" side - even if they perform "useful" functions ...

It's simple: France is on the way to pauperization, and can no longer afford these "luxuries"!

And you will notice that the army no longer escapes the rule: Val de Gräce closure, barracks closings (a new wave) ...

What do you want: no one wants to pay more taxes!

The funniest thing in all this: Ségolèhe Royal, who does not want the ecotax which is a punitive "ecology" (but which taxed all the heavy goods vehicles circulating), but who ultimately seeks to "recover" the lost money (but there, since it is she who searches, it is no longer punitive) and who announces in quick succession:

- the taxation of motorway companies (whose contracts are locked - thank you Fillon!) so who are then entitled to increase their rates (so everyone pays, but it is no longer punitive!) or d '' extend the duration of the concession (everyone spends longer, but it's not punitive!)

- the increase in the price of diesel (finally the tax): but there, while paying roughly the same thing, it is no longer punitive!

- taxation of foreign heavy goods vehicles, contrary to European rules ...

While the ecotax was one of the few taxes voted by everyone in parliament. Typical result of French paroxism: it will not happen! And applied in a number of countries such as Germany - they are surely "punitive", the unfortunate ones!

I think it is no longer reasonable to speak of epolitics in France!
