House insulation from the outside

by lmdhara » 07/06/12, 10:24

Hello
Having made several quotes to insulate my house dating from the 1970s, so without any insulation, I quickly noticed that the return on investment sent me ... in another life!
So I decided to see all the solutions proposed, immediately dismissing the polystyrenes and other mineral wools.
I chose wood fiber 14 cm thick.
Finally it is quite easy to do it yourself if you do not have 2 left hands and a minimum of tools.
I isolated 60 M2 for around 3000 €
For a 170 M2 house fitted with a heat pump, I paid € 375 for heating over the last year.
I made a small guide attached (hoping that it goes on this forum ?).

Welcome here,

In fact, by doing it yourself, it is often much cheaper (no salary or social security costs to pay. It is not uncommon to exceed € 100 excl. VAT per m² in ITE!). After recess, it depends on the feasibility (if you have to rent a scaffolding and / or redo a brick facing or cladding in Douglas is not the same price ...)

But yes, your attachment is missing, you can use our file host if in .pdf format.

You can also write a message here: http://www.isolation-chauffage.com/isol ... ieure-ite/

Thank you for your testimony!

I isolated 60 M2 for around 3000 €
For a house of 170 M2

seems a inconsistent house of 170m2 with only 60m2 of walls !!!

Incomprehensible !!!

A square of walls 3m high for 170m2 = 13mx13m gives the minimum possible of 156m2.

Nevertheless 3000/60 = 50 € / m2 !!

Or that it has party walls on 3 sides, heated by the neighbors and just a small facade ???

It is only a possible hypothesis to try to understand.
