pump repair suppressor Powerplus (hydrophor XG9451)

And if they were repairing rather than throwing and change? Rediscover the pleasure of the repairs yourself. How to diagnose a problem or find spare parts? Repair itself is way to save money generally!

pump repair suppressor Powerplus (hydrophor XG9451)

My suppressor (hydrophore in Belgium) turned empty, the diffuser and the turbine melted, see photos below.

I had little hope for a repair but, wow, we can order the spare parts from the manufacturer! Like what there are not only rotten obsolescence planned in this world! : Cheesy:

Cost of spare parts: 19.50 euros and 2 hours of DIY.

There is even the exploded view on the manufacturer's site: http://www.powerplus.net/1349/14031/pom ... -inox.aspx (spare part tab)

Here are the photos of the repair:

a) Damage (the HS diffuser, the 2 new spare parts and the HS turbine):

I had to break the turbine to be able to dismantle it:

What remains after "breaking":

To dismantle what remains of the turbine, the motor shaft must be blocked, therefore fan removal:

Is there a suction venturi system that I do not understand the hydraulic interest (anti cavitation?)? The "upper" part arrives at the level of the (central) suction of the turbine.

I took the opportunity to re-inflate the membrane (0.3 bar instead of the recommended 1.8), change some seals and grease the pressure switch.

Hi Christopher!

Did you change the ceramic seal in photo 4?
