Not stupid with the idea of palm oil!
Where have you been looking for this?
More than finding the latent heat. I'm going to see if I find an African grocery store where I can find palm oil breads.

It's done chef !!!! I just made a comparison !!

You're a genius !! We made a major economic discovery there !!

https://www.econologie.com/forums/stocker-de ... t7421.html

Conclusion of my estimates, unless I am mistaken (check people please, not like the cobwheel :D:

Conclusion: between 50 and 42 ° C the hybrid tank containing 1/4 by volume of palm oil contains 2.2 times more energy than a buffer tank identical to water!

If there is no error (and I don't think so), it's huge !!! I feel that I will soon buy a few thousand liters of palm oil to put in our thermal buffer!

We still have to find the optimum% oil ... we continue on the other subject!

Well, the best would still be to work on a "natural" product but which works on evaporation because the latent heat is much greater (for water it is 2200 against 330 for example!)

It's not to criticize but if it's not an April Fool's joke, it seems to me that at Kaplan, they overcharge "a little" ...

Indeed: their phase change thermal accumulators are invoiced 3600 € for "an individual".

Assume that it is for a large 1000L buffer tank (probably less) and that the alternative solution consists in encapsulating palm oil in thermal buffer at 50% by mass?

Let's say at 1 € per kg of encapsulated oil (with the capsule therefore), the bill would be 500 € maximum ... Let's say 1000 € maximum by counting "the rest" ... against 3600 €

In addition we have no idea of the performance of the kaplan MCP: it is a safe bet that the palm oil perfs are superior !! : Cheesy:

It's a fish, you say!

Besides on the photo there is even the fish bowl:

By cons without this farce, we would never have found palm oil in buffer: thank you kaplan, thank you lumberjack!

For GlassX, prices vary from 450 CHF / m2, to 1300 CHF / m2. Or more or less 300 to 875 € per m2 depending on the order and options ...

Received in MP:

Attached is an extract from the magazine "Energy & Sustainable Development" N ° 27 September-October 2009.

- I don't quite understand the explanations: 3 people 300L overnight at ... 21 p.m. ???

- 100% biodegradable, 100% recyclable ... IT WOULD NOT BE PALM OIL ??? : Cheesy:

- I like the last answer! : Idea:

Lifespan 10 years ... + gray energy
On the one hand it's not much, on the other hand it's bio degradable.
Hmmm
