I would not want you to be mistaken about the meaning of my answer, a little lively in its spontaneity.
It is not only through narrow selfishness that I refuse (albeit ...), but because moles are extremely discreet by nature and that they strive to preserve their privacy as much as possible.
Since they give me the grace to share with me their territory, the least I can do is to respect their wish.

I wrote (it's classy to quote!):
you should know that the thin layer of topsoil (30 cm on average) contains 80% of terrestrial animal biomass, including humans!

It should be noted that this biomass does not just colonize the soil: it is it which is at the origin of the transformation of the source rock in soil. It goes without saying that the biomass in question brings together a multitude of species, even bacteria, and that all of them participate in this prodigious transformation.

To return more precisely to moles, the production of molehills, so unpleasant for some, is maximum on 2 occasions: winter, when it is not very disturbing and during an installation.
In the latter case, we see that hunting moles is counterproductive because as this animal is a territorial predator, as soon as an individual is eliminated, it is replaced fairly quickly by another who has nothing more urgent than to constitute a network of new galleries: hello tumuli !.
