After work, trash turf: what to do?

by cacahuete95 » 03/08/09, 17:49

Hello,

as the title indicates, after very many passages and trampling, following work, my lawn is HS.

I find myself with holes everywhere and scattered tufts, what do you advise me to give life to all this?

thank you.

Before I screw up, I recommend a few good waterings which may be enough to regenerate the lawn. If after there are still holes in the fall you can sow them in the holes in early fall by watering properly. Fertilizer can also help but it is not very economical. As a last resort all redo.

Do nothing, let nature do it ... you can have good surprises!

Unless you are crazy (you or your man) of "lawn golf"

No Chris,

Not a fan of golf turf at all but just make it clean lawn.

Because there really, with the trampling, it badly stripped and battered.

Finally, I do not worry too much, I will re-seed a little in September if necessary.

Yes, a mower once in a while, and the grass will take over.
Except, if you want a golf turf as said before.

What is cleanliness? What are the criteria for a "clean" lawn? The ayatolas of the shaved and cloned lawn ("my lawn = your lawn") have had their day I think ...

Here are some pictures of our wild and "ecological" garden ! Isn't that more beautiful? In any case the flora and fauna appreciate!

Here it will grow back by itself!

Hello Chris,

Well I call clean lawn a lawn where there are not in the middle of big bumps of earth, even slush, as at this moment what.

Basically, there must be green everywhere (clovers, grasses, dandelions ...) but green!

:D

Well, a good shovel, a rake and a wheelbarrow and you put it back on "the road" and nature does the rest.

Do you have pictures? It would allow us to more easily judge the extent of the "damage" ...
