Bonjour Christophe

These are your pipes that you turn over them 90 degrees that you keep in float, I forgot to say that you put a counterweight on the other side to balance the weight on the two floats.
The floats should be 2/3 immersed for best results.

The venturi effect if I dare say, increases the speed of the water flow between the pipes (floats) for a superior performance of the whole.

Here!

paddle drum

hi christophe,

the bike chain seems to me a good compromise in terms of purchase price, resistance, solidity, possibility of adjustment, without losing too much power.

there is bomb grease, special reinforced O-ring chain for large motorcycle, I had one for the chain of the 750 africatwin, it was great to put (liquid) and go wherever you need, after an hour ( solid) a little rag and the chain was super well greased for 10000kilometres.

strongly the photos of your floating washing machine.

ps: and with your drum, you may catch some good fish.

I have the boots filled with water ... the machine capsized I had to put stones to balance (as there is not yet the engine), remains to aubaner and it should spend the night in the water. .. well balanced it holds "well" but it is empty ...

So load balancing (variable) will be difficult, so I think to put a 3rd balancing float on the other side of the paddle wheel, a little for canoes ...

I go back ... more explanations after ...

Ah ah ah Flytox! Image

Note, I think in orbit it would be more stable than on the stream :) It's amateurs guys at CNES or NASA I tell you : Mrgreen:

Tomorrow I am improving the floats and mooring the windbreaks.

Afterwards, when stability is reached, we can attack the "power" part ...

You saw: it floats !!

Well, I had to balance it with a few stones (normal since the mechanism and the gene are absent ...) but it still remains very unstable (without the stays)

Tomorrow I optimize! I'm not happy with the (un) stability!
The trick is to have good stability without the aubans, the aubans bringing a "more" stability in the event of flooding or variation of the torque on the generator ...

Ah you see? :D

Your wheelbase must be wider than your vane + tank assembly, and your wheel must be placed between your floats

it's the price of stability

Yes and no...

With a less turbulent stream you can very well succeed in doing a cantilever trick ... enough that the center of gravity of the whole is towards the middle of the 2 floats ...

So it can be very stable without the wheel being in the middle ...

The proof: in the photo with 2 ballast stones it is well balanced, right? But hey there is no engine torque on it either ... so tomorrow I'm expanding it all ...

I liked the idea of the Polynesian boat with two additional floats, you get there :P

Good luck and it's great that there are still leeches in "your" stream!

Leeches are not an indicator of good water quality ... :?
