TPE-TIPE Clean Energies

Renewable energies except solar electric or thermal (seeforums dedicated below): wind turbines, energy from the sea, hydraulic and hydroelectricity, biomass, biogas, deep geothermal energy ...

TPE-TIPE Clean Energies

by obiw @ n » 07/11/06, 17:58

Hello everybody

I am in 1st S and as you know, we must prepare a TPE for very soon.
I could not come to the site because I have just discovered it; it looks quite rich in info, I could read a few articles but I am little advanced on this subject (clean energy).

In fact, I had TPE today and hey, the interview with the teachers was not very conclusive ... : Lol: :|
We have experience in physics but not in SVT and given the subject, appearance, it is difficult because even bio fuels reject CO2 (combustion). :|

We must have :
-a subject
-a problematic : how will humans use clean energy to meet their needs? what are their advantages and disadvantages?
-2 experiences (one related to SVT, one physics).
-a PowerPoint presentation but that is easy.
- a detailed plan for our file (I have one but hey, I don't know where to turn exactly).

Here's the plan for now:
I Introduction
-> energy definition, quickly present the different energies, ...
II. Solar / wind power
-> Presentation, their advantages / disadvantages, limits, operation ...
III. Different clean energy (linked to SVTs, bio-fuel perhaps but, see above, it releases CO2.)
IV. Conclusion

We started to work a little but I have a few questions like Kemos had on renewable energies.

-What is energy? (I found a more or less vague definition)
-What are the different types of energy?
-What are their advantages and disadvantages?
-Why aren't they used a lot? (High cost ...)
-How can they help sustainable development?
What are the different sources of clean energy and are they huge?
- What was the first clean energy discovered? In which year ?
-What is the most important clean energy for humans?
-What are the uses of different clean energies?

If you have other details, do not hesitate, I did some research on the net but hey, c not synthesized.

I think I told you everything, if you could give me a hand.

Thank you all. 8)

: Cheesy: Be careful I suppose you are kidding but be careful, the innocent youngsters could take it literally.

So to make my spoilsport, I remind you that all these machines have been a sweet dream for centuries but none have yet worked in real life (they are all in style, it would suffice that ..., all that is missing is etc ...).

why not go over it?
is there anything that has nothing to do with my TPE or c virus or something not catholic?

No, there is nothing viral or shady. but no interest for your TPE.
All that we see on this site are camera pictures' said surunitary (you can find small articles on the site "Quant'homme" of all these devices).
The only problem, and it is major, is that there is no evidence that these machines work.
Period :D

This search for perpetual movement (or infinite energy) is an old dream of humanity and not just mad scientists: "Many scientists have studied perpetual motion, including Leonardo da Vinci."

Be careful not to confuse a superunit machine (supposed to produce more energy than it consumes by capturing an unknown form of energy) and perpetual motion machine supposed to work without external energy supply.
As Delnoram wrote, at the moment we have no evidence that either can work.
