Christophe wrote:Ah Tepco loses 42% all the same in 2 sessions ... wonder if it's not a historical record for a company of this size !!

What happens if the company goes bankrupt? It would be even worse, no?

It depends on the responsibilities.

The dead ... for them it's already done.

Will they have to pay for land rehabilitation? The dismantling?

In short, the usual questions: should we tax the public authorities? How long? 500 years or 50'000 years?

Incalculable...

Better to have renewable in the bottom of your wallet in recent days ... Areva has tumbled nearly 18%, EDF has meanwhile dropped nearly 8,5% in five small sessions. On the other hand, values like the title Theolia (independent producer of electricity from energy sources (...)

Theolia was very unstable before the disaster in Japan.
Too much yoyo at the time of the end of quarter and annual results.

European companies start to be affected ...

Not that large groups like Toyota but also many small SMEs who see their stores of materials or raw materials from Japan melt ...

Subcontractors of major industries also ...

Given the context of economic precariousness it falls badly (it always falls bad but it's worse ...) :| :|

Ayé PSA is affected (already?): http://www.latribune.fr/entreprises-fin ... troen.html

Shortage of Japanese components affects Peugeot-Citroën factories

The French car manufacturer PSA was forced Monday to put out of action its factories producing diesel engines.

PSA Peugeot Citroën announced Monday in a statement that part of its production of diesel engines would be disrupted, starting Wednesday, March 23. As a result of the 11 earthquake in Japan last March, the manufacture of diesel engines of the automobile group, which it shares with Ford, will be affected by the interruption of supplies of electronic components from the Japanese archipelago. An establishment of its usual supplier, Hitachi, is indeed located on the affected area.

The production of its Japanese supplier could resume in a week

The establishment committees of the sites concerned will meet from Tuesday 22 March. The missing piece is an "air flow meter" said a spokesperson for PSA. However, this supplier should resume production "within a week". The manufacture of diesel engines is a very important activity for the group. PSA Peugeot Citroën manufactured 3,6 million cars in 2010, 1,6 million of which were fitted with diesel engines.

So that makes me laugh too much!
The flow meter of air is just a resistance!
They do not know how to make it themselves or what?
It shows how fragile this society is, and how it collapses from the smallest incident!

* I'm talking about the missing flow meter, not the central!

They could find another one, no doubt, but the process of qualifying a component is so long ...
