Do not rejoice too quickly: evil ::
PARIS - The Constitutional Council on Tuesday canceled a carbon tax, a flagship measure of the 2010 budget project which was to enter into force on January 1, but the government immediately decided to present a new text.
It annoys me: evil :!
Carbon tax in France, here we go again ... Ecolomania?
The sentence that had to be quoted:
In short, everything that polluted the most was exempt because it would have cost them far too much money, which could not have been fairly redistributed to the shareholders ....
The problem, if the exemptions are removed, who will pay! ??
I can already tell you that it will not be the shareholders ...

Thus, "thermal power stations producing electricity, emissions from the 1.018 most polluting industrial sites" (refineries, cement works, coking plants, etc.), air and road passenger transport were totally exempt.

Post digging
Almost 15 years later a beautiful and comprehensive video on the subject by the waker:
People finally understand the concept and that tax money is not wasted.
