Of course, since as I already said here:

Monsanto filed the trademark "I am Charlie" - € 100 using now

Hi Le_Juste_Milieu,

Not possible (I reassure you) for a few reasons:
- we can not file common names and or common first names;
- with only one exception: to do it in terms of a "graphic charter" with a specific typo, well dedicated and typed and not existing anywhere else (I have registered a mark of this type);
- and in this case, they must have the authorization of "Charlie Hebdo", since the slogan borrows part of the typo from the magazine's logo (it would therefore be illegal);
- to register a trademark, it takes months ... So the guy who is the author has all the time to assert his rights (which will not go without those of "Charlie Hebdo");

In the state the mark is NOT deposited (it smells the hoax):

Is this a joke?

"I am Manure" they kept it for themselves?

Any court with a minimum common sense will defeat Monsanto ...

QED, correct! No court ...

... legally they must have the approval of "Charlie Hebdo" to use their specific typography.

Oh yes, I did not read your answer ...

I did not care that the Police used was Charlie's ...

Yes, any intellectual property organization can refuse the registration of a mark if it is too "common" or notoriously in the "public domain" ... in France at least elsewhere I don't know!

And what is not in the public domain when it is broadcast on the internet?

Yes, exactly right.

And "anteriority" is valid anyway.

And in this case there she pleads without a shadow of a doubt for "Charlie Hebdo".

(Given what happened, it would still be unfortunate if it were otherwise.)

Yes I'm sure: all the clever people who wanted to enjoy it will lose their bet ... at least the administrative part!

Scenes of violence and almost riot to get the # CharlieHebdo issue of the day!?!?! All this for a simple newspaper !!!

Where are we here ??? The true nature of man is resurfacing! I was naive enough to believe that these events could improve human nature and society!

We say a big "thank you" to the increasingly individualistic system which divides men and kills our humanity for the benefit of big capital!

A big boy like you, already scalded by the harsh reality of life .... You still believed that fifteen deaths and some millions of people parading in the streets could change something ...

It is ironical ! Obviously!

I just thought that given the economic situation, there would be respect at least for that!

You speak: To the toilets the respect! :(

Out of respect for the families of the "martyrs" who say they are shocked by the acts of these .... I deleted my two posts in the humor section ... I censored myself after having believed a few seconds that we could laugh at everything ...

Respect is not the toilet ... Except for a minority (who will fight for 4 or 5 million copies of a weekly) probably the same minority who parade Sunday ...
