What a discovery !!
To everyone who says "I'm Charlie ..."
Monsanto filed the trademark "I am Charlie" - € 100 using now

Hi Le_Juste_Milieu,
Not possible (I reassure you) for a few reasons:
- we can not file common names and or common first names;
- with only one exception: to do it in terms of a "graphic charter" with a specific typo, well dedicated and typed and not existing anywhere else (I have registered a mark of this type);
- and in this case, they must have the authorization of "Charlie Hebdo", since the slogan borrows part of the typo from the magazine's logo (it would therefore be illegal);
- to register a trademark, it takes months ... So the guy who is the author has all the time to assert his rights (which will not go without those of "Charlie Hebdo");
In the state the mark is NOT deposited (it smells the hoax):Christophe wrote:lejustemilieu wrote:My God...

Is this a joke?
"I am Manure" they kept it for themselves?
Any court with a minimum common sense will defeat Monsanto ...
QED, correct! No court ...
... legally they must have the approval of "Charlie Hebdo" to use their specific typography.
