Hello, it seems to be intended to cause voltage drops in industrial systems of a bygone era, with a lot of losses by Joule effect. Kind soft start of a powerful engine.

Today we use technologyImage no or very little loss... https://www.digikey.fr/fr/articles/how- ... bt-modules

I would still have recovered the bolts, the copper, the perforated plate. : Wink:

looks like a lot of different resistors for a three-phase assembly

it is quite picturesque indeed.

This is the most likely explanation. What surprises me is still the impeccable condition of these resistors, as if they were recent, while the power electronics in relation to what one can imagine of these resistors (10 - 30 KW? perhaps more over short periods of time), it has been mastered since the end of the 1980s.
