Exact ... only the compensated enter the figures.

The difference between "active not active" and "compensated unemployed" is much more important in France because after 18 months (or 24?) You are no longer unemployed in France ... in Belgium, I believe that you are unemployed "for life" even if at the end you get the equivalent of the RMI ...

you have to prove that you look for work every 12 months

if you no longer agree they send you to the cpas (public center for social assistance)

or you also have to prove that you are looking for a job

The problem with these two situations is that you have to accept any job

the system once again exploits human misery

and yet ...
lack of doctor in rural area, lack of bakers, butchers, nurses, ect
some manual trades are no longer popular, and yet they have made it possible for many people to live
for me unemployment = number of applicants - vacancies
you have to be realistic not everyone can be a lawyer, a computer scientist, a journalist ... but utopia makes you dream

I don't totally agree with you

I know people close to me who wanted to be a butcher, baker, ... independent

but the competition of medium and big business has sank them

there are the motivated who say this
as long as I do my business, I will innovate to stand out

but here are the medium and big companies steal their creations
after the assets sink and it is an American who finds himself with a hyper competitive company

the guy committed suicide or nobody remembers him

short now he points to unemployment and no longer want to work to do this exploit

when in fact it is the system which exploits it but with regard to the world it is a profiteer and a pariah

No matter how hard I look, I can't find any solution
