You are not there at all: these are my old Windows CDs.
As much on PC it was not going well, as much in pale wind turbine it turns really better! : Mrgreen:

ps: sorry Darwenn to pollute your post a little.
Happy New Year and good health to all ... And don't forget: in 2010 follow the good sense of the wind! : Cheesy: )

It turns wonderfully, my batteries charge well, but it takes a wind of 20 to 30 mini, no miracle, I will not produce every day, but whatever, in autumn winter I always have a lot of wind in the north of france, for the rest of the spring, my 100w solar panel will ensure the shortage.

A 6 blade makes it easier to start in weak wind, and no need to put a 1kw wind turbine when there is not enough wind to start or run it, I saw smaller and I did well.

In any case, I am delighted, I can finally charge my batteries when I have no sun and there is wind. Delighted to have finally achieved the result I was looking for after 6 months of traveling.

Very interesting, your experience, Darwenn.
I'm also looking for information on wind turbines, the biggest obstacle seems to me to be the batteries, their cost and their lifespan, but the other questions are:
overall cost of installation
mast height, stowage (can we avoid the shrouds?)
Can we install it yourself? For you, based on your experience, I guess it's yes, but for a typical Beijing ...
noise (can it annoy neighbors?)

That's a lot of questions!

From the point of view of my personal experience, if you do not want guy lines when you install your wind turbine in the middle of your garden, you must not have your mast too high or else, it takes a sufficiently wide and deeply buried base , or a mini communication tower style structure.

In any case if your structure is higher or at the same height as the surrounding trees, I strongly advise you (this is my opinion but not everyone who thinks like me) to install a lightning rod there.

thank you for your Vinzman advice, but what does that mean, not too high?
for example, a rotor 1 m in diameter on an 8 to 10 m mast, what is needed for infrastructure?

What I mean exactly by "not too high" is this:

https://www.econologie.com/forums/post123176.html

It means that if the wind blows too hard and your mast is too weak, it may fold in half.

8 to 10 meters is high.

I would myself make a geometry structure almost identical to the photo I showed you previously (3 support points) but I would take metal electrical conduit 5cm in diameter.
I paint and varnish everything of course.

Why not put it on your roof the wind turbine?

MW 400 after gust of wind

by Batbat » 28/02/10, 10:34

Here's what's left of my Wind Turbine!

9:30 am start of storm in Lorraine, gusts at 60Km / h, it turns well, peaks at 7A and all of a sudden a blue rod which starts to fly ...

The drift was completely torn from the nacelle.

So there is "that" the drift which is HS?

I think it will not be very hard to repair ... but your wind turbine may "spin" strongly there ...

How many W is that and that marks?

however, nothing exceptional about the wind; I hope for you that the damage will remain there because, without drift, its behavior can be unpredictable
