Destroy weeds without Roundup

by martien007 » 22/05/08, 16:09

Found while looking for something else via google: weed burner:

You can certainly find this in DIY stores .... although, they mainly sell chemical fertilizers and weedkiller type Roundup very toxic for the environment and neighboring plants.

There are also prefectural orders which prohibit the use of weedkiller under certain conditions, including this one (not certain that the municipal employees respect these orders; last year I stopped copious watering with weedkiller by the municipal employees along the street where I have a hedge of laurels. This year I was not there when they passed: it is done the wild grass has yellowed, it had its dose of glyphosate - Roundup - and the roots of my laurels at the same time - would not surprise me if they die in a while -):

It is an old method very well known among EcoBio.

On your link, the prices are overpriced ... and it's a commercial link so I delete ...

Just buy a classic torch from 30 to 50 € with an extension ...

At 200 € it's way too green to be honest ...

Ok, but these are the nozzles that are specific I think (several and very wide, so it burns faster? Right?).

Not that much ... a flame is a flame, right? As much for precise welding there is a need for a nozzle ... as much in this case ...?

All the DIY stores offer nozzle games ... at more or less attractive prices ...

Here it makes me think that we could also offer it on our store given the high prices charged by our "competitors" ...

hello, seeing that I hate doing plumbing welding, I use my old CAMPINGAZ welding lamp to weed my driveway, I find small cartridges everywhere in all supermarkets.

er yes for the coge, but with a small gas cartridge you will not go very far, then you have to see the flow, the recoverable calories, the investment, etc ...

I prefer to stay weeded my driveway of dandelions with my small blowtorch, the same that I use to light my wood stove when I love it, (puns).

kisses to all. rub. I drank too much rochefort last night.

breath of rochefort yes,

Your old CAMPINGAZ welding lamp OK .... but with a big butane-propane bottle of 13 kgs? because small camping gas bottles are very expensive.
