Solar cookers for Banda Aceh

by the Mesnil » 21/12/06, 15:50

Seen on a stock exchange site:
Alcan: will supply solar cookers to promote sustainable development in Indonesia Finance more on 21/12/06 at 15:07 PM
"Clean Development Mechanism" project ....

Alcan will provide innovative solar cookers and cookers to 1.000 rural families in the Banda Aceh region, Indonesia, as part of a joint contribution of 450.000 euros with Klimaschutz eV for a "Clean Development Mechanism" project ( CDM) aimed at preserving the environment. Taking advantage of renewable solar energy, the parabolic solar cooker boils water, which kills bacteria and cooks food. It aims to reduce the dependence of developing regions on traditional sources of energy, such as wood and fossil fuels.

Klimaschutz eV acts as a partner for the local coordination of the "Aceh 1 Solar Cooker Project, Indonesia", in addition to manufacturing the cookers in Aceh and overseeing their use over the next seven years. This is the first German CDM project registered by the United Nations climate office. CDM projects are defined in Article 12 of the Kyoto Protocol as aimed at protecting the global climate in a sustainable manner and promoting the transfer of climate preservation techniques between industrialized nations and developing countries.

LOL,

I haven't looked well.
But does anyone have recipes for baking in the solar oven.
Because if we need a day to cook a sauerkraut, it's not gégégé.

I will try to address the issue otherwise.

It is not intended for us but for the naughty African polluters who deforest too much to cook their food .... It is yellow irony but I heard YA Bertrand dare to say that from the top of his helicopter! ! : Mrgreen:
