To come back to 100 km/h on the highway.... Already at 150 I'm pissed off... At 100 I don't put the tires on anymore. Honestly, what speed do you drive on the highway?
Personally for 130 it's 140 at the regulator 135 gps when I have people on board... And 160 at the regulator when I'm empty with peaks at 180 190 to clean the DPF

I.1. 2023 trends on road networks in mainland France
Roads outside urban areas will record 59% of deaths and 48% of serious injuries in 2023.
It is estimated that 1 people died on the
roads outside urban areas (53 fewer deaths than in 2022)
and 7 were seriously injured (-500% compared to
2022)
In urban areas, 1 people died (016
fewer killed than in 2022), 7 were injured
seriously (stable compared to 2022).
On motorways, 273 people died (21 killed
fewer than in 2022 but 10 more killed than in 2019),
1 were seriously injured (an increase of
+2% compared to 2022).
I have a solution, let's try the 130 in urban areas

Re: The Wonderful World of the European Union: 100 km/h motorways everywhere in the EU?
without wanting to provoke, I think that putting everyone at 100 km/h on the motorway will lead to an increase in accidents due to drowsiness.
The RCEA in Allier was an interminable national at 90 km/h, it was nicknamed "the road of death".
The current speed at 130 is rather well chosen with a good differential with the heavy goods vehicles which are at 90-100.
On the portions limited to 110, some have fun overtaking the trucks at 110 regulator... it lasts 2 km

That is very true…
When I feel tired on long motorway journeys I put on a little gas to wake me up...that way my fap is happy too...like Macro!

Regulating inter-city flows by lowering the speed would make it possible to regulate the flow entering the cities and therefore help relieve congestion. In the end, the average could even be higher.

In a few rare configurations perhaps.... At times of hiring and debauchery...No
I think that one day we will get there where during peak periods we will have to reserve our slots on the highways as well as in tourist sites

Hence the interest, as they do in Switzerland, in regulating traffic in real time. Speed limit signs are adjustable from a dedicated center. Red lights too.

Real-time regulation?? You speak Charles!!
The last time, in 2019, that I took the Swiss motorway (Strasbourg-Chamonix) it was a disaster: most of the motorways were at 80 or 90 km/h...a horror! And there was no traffic when I went there!
And it doesn't seem to me (frankly I don't remember exactly) that they were "variable" speeds... (= they were classic fixed panels, not digital panels)
And the sticker at 40€ in cash obligatorily at customs it is also fixed!
(the exchange rate? Who cares!!)

I would love to pay 40 euros to be able to go anywhere in France for a year! As for your experience, tell yourself that fortunately the traffic was regulated (at best), otherwise, you would still be there... and the mechanical signs, some of them turn!

I said they were fixed panels!!
Or is it “Swiss style” regulation: a guy comes to change them every 24 or 48 hours?
