If you want to keep asking yourself questions I can give you some details,
the brand of brown COUDOINT resistors 1466, 733, 290, and 147ohms for the largest, the 4 "serpentines" 0,72ohm.
it was equipment from a training center so it may be new and 50 years old : Shock:

There are still power resistors, a little more secure, probably https://www.resistel.com/resistance-dem ... rotorique/

An autotransformer? if the windings are copper https://www.farnell.com/datasheets/3200909.pdf

Very dangerous without casing... no hands lying around : Shock:

Do you think it could be useful to someone, I have 3, certainly for sorting?
otherwise towards the landfill?

It's full of good copper... (not the shit we're sold for copper today)

7000€ per ton : Cheesy: But you have to sort it out.

Copper embedded in resin, not easy to extract :o

Otherwise could be used in a lab, but not in everyday life, because of the junction between the windings which removes the galvanic isolation.
