Since the first prototypes, start-ups have cut costs by 99% and if consumers engage in these products, the market could reach $ 25 billion by 2030, McKinsey & Co said. in a report last week. But to compete with conventional meat, costs must be further reduced.

Future Meat Technologies, which has raised $ 43 million from investors including Tyson Foods Inc., Archer-Daniels-Midland Co. and S2G Ventures LLC, claims the lowest price for cultured chicken breast. It has managed to reduce the cost to $ 4 per 100g, a fraction of the original price, and plans to halve it again by the end of 2022, Kshuk told Bloomberg. https://english.fleischwirtschaft.de/ec ... 2022-50821
Indeed it is on the rails and it can be a good help to reduce the carbon footprint too : Wink:

It's conditional, like this study, but there is something new "start-ups have reduced costs by 99%" let's wait until later before throwing the baby out with the bathwater : Wink:

"start-ups cut costs by 99%" <<< Yes, on paper, to keep getting money, and Izy is gobbling it up.
Anyway, this "meat" is crap and in the long run, an increase in the carbon footprint and in my opinion (But you will tell me who cares), a future explosion of cancers .

vegans, vegetarians, vegans wanted it, science executed itself and did it as it has always been asked, don't come and complain now ...

Not sure !! Considering the intellectual level of some Vegans ... maybe they don't want to harm bacteria? : Cheesy: : Cheesy: : Cheesy:

Reminds me of this little discussion with a serious case ...

A few years ago, a little discussion with a big bitch of an extremist vegan and snarling towards barbecue eaters (zetes all des en..lés ..) ... blalabala ...

But oops ... when I asked her how she dressed I tackled her badly in touch: her boots and her jacket were in real leather ... and her mouth was shielded with foundation and excessive makeup (the tests on the animals in cosmetics ... it's still a legend!) ...

Suffice to say that she quickly got lost in her contradictions!

Contradictions, we all have them, it doesn't bother me more than that as long as it doesn't induce fascist behavior!

Vegans will not eat it since the base is animal ... In short, NO to artificial meat. : Mrgreen:

Experimentation on human guinea pigs has already started in Singapore, which has authorized the marketing and consumption of "chicken nuggets" made, among other things, from ... chicken cells. : Mrgreen:
