If today's pop is so familiar to us, it is because it is built on sounds coming from multiple horizons, where everyone finds themselves and which have made it what it is: music made by and for the people, cosmopolitan, unifying and generous.

It is in this approach that Mauvais Oeil fits, at the meeting point of the different cultures which make popular music and which rocked their childhood in France in the 90s. Sarah Benabdallah was born in the Parisian suburbs of Algerian parents, Alexis Lebon grew up in Paris in a French family with Romanian origins. Carried by a magnetic energy, their music mixes keyboards with saz and guitars with melismas which Sarah uses in her singing, in French as in Arabic.
