Hello everyone, here is my concern by closing the latch of my sliding door 2 leaves millet I heard a piece fall inside this one and since ... I can not open this side (the 2nd one works perfectly) and my very big worries c is that I can not find any way to access the opening and closing system of the bay !!! (I dismantled the strike ..... impossible to access the "linkage" look inside and outside the frame of this one (no visible removal screw)
look on the edge of the door leaf which is not blocked and i found nothing there either ......
does anyone have an idea or my eyes are playing tricks on me ??
(I add that I am not an expert but I manage fairly well in DIY as a general rule but there .... I suck)
I still saw a small piece that slightly protrudes from the door leaf that works (and which I think connects the striker to the linkage)
but how to open the side which is blocked?!?
Thank you for your help .....

Do you have pictures of the bay window?
Nature of the chassis? Type of grip? Age?
I presume that you have already applied W40 style penetrating oil?

I had this problem also on a bay. I don't know if you have the same, but therefore:
In the opening there is a small hook which catches a piece on the frame. This piece is fixed in a groove. If it takes play and begins to wander, it will descend into the groove.
However, the small hook grabs the piece from the bottom (when you open it goes down). If the part is no longer fixed, it descends with it and cannot be opened.
solution:
1) Hit it hard to loosen the mess
2) Manipulate the opening handle with a sharp blow to "throw" the part up into the groove, at this point you have 0.01 seconds to open the bay before the part falls back and recesses. After ten attempts, it opened.
3) Paste the mess so that it does not happen again.

I think the waste has gone down to the bottom, I can't find a solution with this opening.
Who managed to reopen and how?
