Hello, heard yesterday morning in the radio journal of the first RTBF:
"A group of Liegeois is launching a petition to allow consumers to choose products that have generated a minimum of CO2"
In fact, the proposal is to affix clear logos that tell you how a food got to us. (red plane, blue boat, ...) So that consumers can choose their food while knowing what the environmental impacts are.
The example cited is that of Argentine beef ( olé !!) which produces 6x more CO2, if it is transported by plane than by boat. (gloups )
Unfortunately the report does not say that it is even better to eat beef from the village where we live.
As soon as I have time I will try to put a link to the newspaper, the podcast should be available.
Food source: blue boat, red plane.
Here is the link to the site of the avion rouge collective.
