Proton: lithium-free batteries that could change the world

Innovations, ideas or patents for sustainable development. Decrease in energy consumption, reduction of pollution, improvement of yields or processes ... Myths or reality about inventions of the past or the future: the inventions of Tesla, Newman, Perendev, Galey, Bearden, cold fusion ...

there are different qualities, like everything.

for your Dragonfly project, you should take the lightest and most energy dense, such as Li-NMC (nickel manganese cobalt).

for cars, we stubbornly embark on "revolutionary" batteries when they are just less mediocre than others, knowing that 3L of fuel replaces 100 kg of Lithium battery...

“you should…” thank you for this wise advice, I will study the question! : Mrgreen:

No, 3L does not replace 100 kg but around 30 kg…yields must be corrected…

well let's admit, that's a factor of 10

3L of fuel comes out about 10 mechanical kWh.
100 kg of battery at 100 Wh/kg, ditto.

If we take 200 Wh/kg, 100 kg of battery brings 20 kWh.

Supplied by 6L of fuel.

So about 6 kg against 100 kg
