Regarding heat insulation, a reflective aluminum film under a sheet metal roof / steel tank is roughly effective: a steel tank roof 3 m above the head is an iron! I think it would work with tile too!

Without looking for the "NASA paint", go to a supplier for horticulturalists and try the "white" that you put on a greenhouse!

I have my offices in bungalows and we did the test for a year: bare steel pan = you can hardly stand laying your hand flat; treatment with "greenhouse white" with a spray: it's just hot! Spectacular! (at the same time, same exposure, same slope, same support)

I recommend for "lean-tos", summer kitchens, greenhouses, etc ...

Default: it disappears with the rain, little by little ...

The popular show Bob vila tested the Supertherme and still talks about the equivalent of 15 cm of glass wool!

Dede, I see very badly a survival blanket as a permanent solution!

Is it wrong to be skeptical?

In any case if it works, it will prove that nanotechs have a HARD life ...

I would be ready to try, I have walls to insulate ... It would then suffice to make statements with a digital thermo_machin_graph ... (genre: before / after ...)

Christophe: that's why all the houses in the South are in principle painted white ... Try once to paint one in black and you will regret it ... : Mrgreen: : Cheesy:

Hi Alain G: we are not even sure that it is the same, since the site does not give the mark (in the limit it is better to buy knowingly, and therefore not to test the one linked to the site given by the author of the thread ...)

In what conditions?

It is absolutely necessary to specify summer insulation against heat yes, in winter insulation against cold it is unthinkable such a value unless you live in a vacuum (does not exist) or you heat 100% in heating 100% radiation (does not exist either)

Obamot: yes but I was not thinking of the south but of Greece where it is even more obvious ...

Say it is reflective, OK to some extent.

To say that it is insulating is the same scam as thin films.

And unfortunately there are tens of thousands of people who will fall for it and try that.

Yes, yes, but I'm talking about those who don't read econology.

Thin films have claimed many victims.

thank you for all your answers.

Like what, we must not believe everything we say.

lt is important to take a step back and get informed because many so-called eco companies use people's ignorance to make money.

That’s why this forum is important.

I would even say more: it is important not to believe what marketing says !!!

Every day, we have examples of misleading presentations, for the sole purpose of selling and optimizing profits.

Well, who saw this EdF ad, where they start from a price index of 100 15 or 20 years ago?

All energies start from the same point.

And obviously, in the last 20 years, fuel oil and gas have risen much more. Electricity is almost linear.

Nothing wrong. Right, the impression is completely distorted.

Because :

a) if we put the price including tax per kWh, electricity, despite the increase in other energies, still hovers far above!

b) obviously, this is without subscription (a sharp increase for small powers - since we all save money, we must tax the subscription!)

c) and of course it is the tariff per kWh excluding all taxes added to the end of your bill

d) and obviously also: if EdF had taken a short time step (last 2 years), we would see that it goes up clearly!

e) finally, oddly, the only energy really almost stable in TTC, pellets, is not put on the graph!

Conclusion:

a) the reality: electricity rises sharply and it is one of the most expensive kWh - after liquid propane - (and this is only the beginning)

b) but the EdF graph "shows" clearly that electricity is the most stable energy and a distracted glance "sees" that it is the cheapest!

Conjuring ???

Beautiful, very beautiful marketing (in the ass pounding sense).
