The answer is in the following article: in France the "peak" was 88,8 MW, against 102 in 2012 ... It is roughly 15% less ... In Belgium, the climate must have been almost as "lenient" ...

Boahhh 6 emergency actions waaaaw ....while it would be enough to prohibit SYSTEMATICALLY electric heating in the new building and speculative rental !!

Ah yes, that would displease wealthy property owners and developers who will lose a few% of profitability on their investments ... so what ????

Is France's energy supply worth less than property speculation?

The manager of the French electric transport network RTE yesterday presented his analysis of the supply-demand balance for winter 2016-2017. He announced that security of supply will be "more difficult to ensure" than in previous winters. Explanations.

It makes a lot of difference ... although I find it hard to understand that an average past availability is between 2 fairly different values (???)

The voltage drop is interesting and can be quickly implemented to lower the overall power consumed in resistive heating, but some devices (fridge, electronics ...) may appreciate moderately if it lasts too long ...

How else to explain the inflection point S52 of the estimates?

Burnt cars heating the streets? : Mrgreen: : Mrgreen:

Don't tell me that we already know that this week will be "mild" in terms of weather ...

I think the title given is badly done.

It rather gives the availability envelope from 2007 to 2014

christophe, this is availability, no consumption forecast.
the drop in availability S52 may correspond to a maintenance shutdown.

It is also the only week when almost everyone is on vacation.
It would be the share of energy (in less) of offices and industries closed for the occasion?
