Hello,

I think this question is very important, because a large indirect light source gives a psychological effect that is not reproduced by several bulbs distributed in the room. Indeed, it is proven that a very bright area has an important "medical" effect and acts against seasonal depression.

But I believe that diodes today provide a real answer, even if a ready-made solution does not yet exist on the market.

In fact the problem with diodes is that the lighting is too powerful on one point. But put lots of small diodes at 1W (full = 50 or 100) and place them on a "plane" oriented towards the ceiling, and you have the equivalent, or even better, than a 500W halogen in luminous flux, but which consumes 50 or 100We :-)

If you buy 100 1W diodes on a Chinese site, it will not cost you very much, and given the lifespan, you can inherit it from your children :-)

Just a g **** e for example: http://www.vina.co.kr/new_html/eng/product/info.asp?cate1=17&cate2=21

and there are hundreds of them. Considering the mass, no problem of sending.

This is wrong, halogen pencils are not (yet) prohibited ...
