Re the electronauts

Is this the right type of converter to use:

ecclairage-pro.fr/ficheproduit-ecclairage-pro-plk-convertisseur-led-307.html

ecclairage-pro.fr/ficheproduit-ecclairage-pro-pd-convertisseur-led-forte-puissance-309.html

This is to supply 1,4W LEDs with 12V, X 4

It does not seem very expensive to me, and rather than waiting for the brother-in-law ...

A+

LED assembly in series? : Shock: Hello bazaar! Great power = 17W mwarf!

So Herbert, instead of bothering to mount the LEDs in series (if a slap everything is cut) take a professional stabilized DC power supply of 60 or 100W it will be cheaper for you in W of lighting and the output and the reliability are surely much better:

Hello,

The device that you offer, I project it to fit the LED spots that I intend to put in the kitchen.

Here we are talking about the living room, where I want to create an ambient light with the existing light, and therefore hack the halogen transformer, or replace it with a LED converter. It must therefore fit in the luminaire housing (plus tbt rail http://www.castorama.fr/store/rail-4-x- ... eFicheTech)
Little power ((4 X 1.4W) is very enough for me in this room.

Ah yes if there is no room but in this case this 12V electronic AC transformer might be right?

With our LED lamps it works in any case ... but yours must be compatible 12 V AC!

That would be exactly what I need, it remains to be seen if it works with this:

Watch out Christopher!

It may have the same problems as at the start because it is an unstable chopper!

Add a diode and a condo as I described above and it will work.

There are lots of models on your link ... which one exactly?

If there marked AC somewhere on the box it's good ...

Sorry I didn't follow the whole discussion.

So you suggest transforming it into a DC transformer by adding a diode bridge and a filtering condo?

I tested this little AC transformer and it works with luxuries anyway ...
