LPG user since 1988 on a 2001 space equipped by a professional, I was delighted to see Renault release an LPG space. So I bought it new from a Renault employee. Since I collect the bucks ... 2 change of culace, 1st to 70000, 2nd to 120000, change of engine to 197000. I don't count the times or the air filter exploded. I thought I had finished the pain with a new engine but on January 2, 2008 the Couroie of distribution gives up the ghost. Thank you Renault for this wonderful car. See you soon in customer service .....
Well, your professional is who ... because you shouldn't go.
Flashbacks are known issues with known causes.
Finally, the "original" LPGs sold by Renault are not successful and especially good LPG technicians are rare, including in the Renault network where we hear the technicians saying a lot of "nonsense".
Your problem is more an incompetent garage problem than an LPG problem ...
The rupture of the timing belt has nothing to do with LPG, rather a maintenance problem (periodicity not respected) or parts (non replacement of the tension rollers) or assembly (bad assembly, loose).
I once had problems with mounting an LPG kit (French brand that quickly went bankrupt) I changed it as warranty by the installer with a specially studied Dutch kit (calculator, electrical harness ...) for my car (safrane 2.2si). It is now turning in my 2nd safrane (almost 6 years of service and 120.000 km).
Ah yes, I stopped the interviews at the dealership at € 1.000 including tax 10 days of immobilization and LPG broken down by the garage.
Now I do it myself ...
I do not think it is normal for the timing belt to loose on a new engine after 80 km with normal maintenance. I think Renault should take the repair as a guarantee. What do you think. Thank you in advance. JLP [/ i]
