I agree with you, André, some engineers lack humility. This does not prevent them from recognizing their savoir-vivre
To support you in this idea, a little anecdote that happened to my father during his first job when he had just left Supélec (French engineering school).
He was asked to make the diagram of an analog printed circuit (at the time, digital did not exist).
In short, he makes his diagram and brings him to the worker responsible for producing the prototype.
The guy looks at the diagram for 5 minutes and tells him.
"It's your diagram, except that this resistance there, you have to put 100 ohms, not 50 ohms, otherwise, it will burn!"
My father, a little taken aback (and upset a bit, no doubt) replied:
"What makes you say that? How do you know that?"
And the worker answers:
"I have no idea, what I know is that I've been doing electrical circuits for 20 years and that like that, it won't work"
My father redid his calculations and, guess what, the worker, with his CAP (see less), was right.
I let you draw the conclusion from this anecdote ...

Why are you talking about me?
Do you have any idea what harm you are doing to me?
Wickedness is not good
Tomorrow it will be forgotten
And then maybe it's not me I'm talking about
Or else I understand nothing
I'm smoked, eh targol
This story is unthinkable
Anyway
Don't think about it anymore

200% agree with that !!! This wise word should be framed!Andre wrote:[...] or I agree with them there are a lot of charlatents but in certain engines and in some cases, the gadgets work it should rather focus on the why of those who walk instead of relying on their title of nobility.[...]

Frankly, I don't think that has anything to do with our recognition ...

It is not to the engineer that we must ask but to the PHYSICIANS precisely
Otherwise I think that it is a lot of hypotheses and scientific shortcuts and that it remains purely theoretical ...

I think about the same thing as the author of this article has some details for some time now but with less advanced and more simplistic equations (my level in math 3 rd) but my pantone reactor is not always finished (I miss a little stuff and I have to tweak my theories to take it into account in the construction) and it is true that I will not say anything about my theories until I have validated them by practice we hear so much bullshit on the pantone that I don't want to add another ...
