WikiSidney Bechet4 recorded sessions on April 18, 1941 at his friend John Reid (RCA) re-recording, an invention of the master and a first in the history of jazz, he played six instruments in turn, double bass, drums, piano, clarinet, soprano saxophone and tenor saxophone, and recorded the two sides of a disc with the songs The Sheik of Araby and Blues of Bechet.
