hello, at the level of the hose which brings the fuel and seals I ask myself the same question.
However I noticed that, on bottles of 1 liter sold in pharmacies all have the same small orange cap (sort of rubber I think) as well as it is alcohol at 90 ° or sodium chloride or dakin (derived from bleach)

here I do not bring much, just a question about the veracity of the premature wear of the joints, we said the same about the super leaded and sp 95. are there really people who broke their engine with ???

I was talking about it last year leaves around the same date
er if not in my opinion at the level of corrosion / drying of the joints and other parts meca alcohol is not more corrosive than SP!
Finally I say that I say nothing : Mrgreen:

I am not a specialist in the effects of E85 or pure ethanol on unsuitable engines but that is stupid ... : roll:

At the time when Prost began to be well known, fuel in F1 was already very regulated and had to be very close to commercial fuels.
We will remember the famous cheating of Brabham-BMW, which used methanol (obviously prohibited) at the end of the 1983 season to allow Piquet to be crowned at the expense of Prost ...

alcohol I confirm it is corrosive for certain plastics ...

on my carbureted bx I ate the floats while trying the experience result a blocked nozzle and nasty floats ...

if I retry the experience will be with a pantone story of being able to master all the materials of the fuel supply ...

the plastic of the floats on the bx looks the same type as that of the tank (same appearance, color and hardness) so beware make tests on the materials before you start ...

Anyway, 10% ethanol on a conventional petrol car, it works, so for E85 it should also go, see a little more 12-15%?
