How to check if an insulation contains asbestos?

by lv13r » 08/02/10, 17:15

Hello
at work a company removes the old air conditioning systems
these pipes are insulated and covered with a plastic furnace
how to verify that these sheaths do not contain asbestos without danger? : Shock:
(the pipes have a diameter of 28 and the exchangers are really
brush 2M long by 1,20 M high in several panels
turbine engines have a power of 5,5kw)
If someone has an idea ?
please

hello iv13r
It is up to the client (therefore you) to have an inspection carried out by an approved organization.
unless you already know the nature of the insulation.
the company which deposits the material must have asked you for a certificate.
