How much time are you willing to spend on a trip, very occasional, on a journey of about 1150 km.
I put without toll
And without toll, with my kona, for example.
Everything is not in the calculators, both in VT and in VE, but gives indications.
If we look closely, theoretical 1h38 stop, for one hour in VT, it doesn't change much, except tolls!
How long for this all-inclusive 1150 km trip?

It still seems debatable to me that this is an advantage, especially with two drivers ..... But hey. everyone will think of it what they want.
But again, it doesn't seem prohibitive, anyway we don't do this type of trip every day..
Whether you are 1 or 4 drivers, it doesn't change everything.
Stops are needed.

Don't worry, it'sSimple'
You will notice that on the Google Map the route in blue is always the one with tolls.
And so I still can't explain these differences in duration between Google Map VS others... (proof that your thread is very useful to clear up this mystery)
I remember him having gone to Germany, arriving an hour earlier than expected with the Google Map estimates...
One of these 4 I will look at what my TomTom tells me

Waze, on the road stays pretty much constant, depending on how you ride.
If I put the GPS of the car, of the kona, or before the zoé, I always arrived well before, respecting, within 5% of the authorized speeds, on the meter.
It's a bit like the remaining km in electric, on the kona, off the highway, if it indicates 400 km remaining, and I cover 200, it tells me on arrival between 195 and 205, so I know that we can trust it is very reliable, even if I base myself rather on the remaining %.
But if you have driven 130 on the highway before, it is based on your 130, and in the end, is quite accurate.
The zoé wasn't too bad either, the ion, a catamaran.

Very well, I note it. The advantage of the EV on long journeys is to have to stop 1/2h to 3/4h every 2 hours to refill a partial tank. It's original....
And whether there are 1 or 2 drivers does not change anything for a VT over 1000km? Even on 600, personally I see the difference, the car drives permanently, except of course stopping meal or pee or refueling for a few minutes.

I did say "for me".
The friend does not care, he rolls.
My wife, her? she sleeps ! so she doesn't care.

There, in blue, it is without toll, but the fastest.

Good idea, but you'll mostly spend it in your driver's seat
26 hours of round-trip driving is really exciting.

For the week, it's still reasonable.
We left on a Monday and returned the next.
We passed quite a bit on the side of Berck "160 km from the house, and 120 from the friend.
25 years that we spend every new year together.
Friend was a sophomore in high school, around 75 years.

If it is to say that in VE it will take longer than in VT with identical behavior when driving, I think everyone agrees.
So what?
You are off the mark.
Yes, it's definitely longer.
But what do you expect, on a journey of about 11 hours in VT, with an EV?
suitable VE, not a spring, of course.
To situate, the friend, dropped off in Spain, his wife's old clio, 12-14 years old, around, 80-85 hp, not top of the range, but correct, a little "crazy" on the road, insofar as he stopped just to refuel, and to eat without a sandwich at the wheel, in less than 10H.
You could say, comparable to a spring, but with a spring, I won't do it the same day, and wouldn't do it, unless I had to, because it wouldn't be suitable, but still doable.
While with a VT, you can do, without comfort, of course, but in the same period of time as a "more upscale" car. ( nearly).
The EV advantage for me is the mandatory number of stop. (especially when driving on the highway at good speed).
With a VT, for a few years, I was already doing almost the same thing, but slightly shorter stops.
I remember going to winter sports, a few months after a kneecap fracture, and having to stop every 45 minutes to stretch my legs. And when you do more than 800 km .... it makes a few stops.
Not electric... nuclear!!!
Not VE so! But..VN!!!
So you don't remember the EDF promo ad in the early 90s?!?

Ah....that goddamn Chatiliez!
