Where did I say that?

So much the better. Already said your initial words were ambiguous, therefore.

What I hope is that the State legislates as it has been able to do in other areas.

In this sentence there is all the beautiful naivety of your message! It's poetic and I love poetry. She must save the world!

On the other hand, there is a real reflection to be had on the substance. You tell us that there are alternatives, and you are concerned with a factory. But on the one hand the solutions currently used are already hyper rational, and on the other hand, the “sustainable” approach is limited, since the “die-hard” would like us to do away with the car, therefore a good part of it. road network.

Your question embarrasses the world : Cheesy: it is in this sense that it is pleasant because we have a real problem behind it, one day there will be no more oil, and that day is approaching. And there is also the excessive development of human society. But now, taking algae also represents an imprint on the environment, and if we take your example of the butterfly's wing flapping, taking algae also has environmental repercussions, if we develop the production of algae, their proliferation. being already an enormous problem to be controlled, their over-development programmed by the man for this industrial goal “road”, will it not be a remedy worse than the evil?

Now, if we put that in the order of “ultra-urgent” priorities to limit warming, there are certainly other things to do before that (replace petroleum for vehicle propulsion, house heating and thermal insulation. , etc).

But basically, the question remains very relevant! She is embarrassing : Mrgreen: the (pro) lobbyists of all stripes of the industry are once again coming out of the woods with it ... always the same : Cheesy: just because she's annoying doesn't mean you shouldn't do or think about it.

I want to clarify that I am not a pro ecologist, a supporter of the conspiracy, I do not play politics ... I am just a father who worries about my future and even more for that of my son of 6 years. All the scientists are sounding the alarm siren, I once again heard Christian Buchet, ocean specialist this morning on Europe 1. Faced with them, politicians do not react. I've waited too long for things to change and nothing to happen. It is for these reasons that I decided to launch my petition. It's the people, the people who have to say stop. We must no longer be fatalistic and act.

while it would be enough to make paving stones based on algae financed by a carbon tax and (de) posed by yellow vests.

@ Samarion24 Like all people who experience nuisance, you try to eliminate it, which is quite normal.

Thinking big, modifying an entire industrial sector in place, for a local problem seems to me to be the wrong fight, if you want a quick result that will still be long ....
Because how many people are really impacted? they are the most motivated to change.

Before the end of oil, the most rational and effective would be, in my opinion, to act on the nuisance locally: ask for filtrations, put the ARS in the coup? request that the factory be moved to an uninhabited area (a natural park) or in front of the prefect's house : Mrgreen: ?

It is not algae from the oceans that are used but micro algae cultivated in the laboratory (someone read the articles on the algoroute ????)
And yes I love to dream, I love life, I love nature and I love my family ... It is for these reasons that I want to act and that things change.
I also act locally if you want to know. The atmo carried out analyzes in 2010 revealing peaks of PAHs and fine particles. They asked for additional scans over a longer period of time, but the company never followed through. The bitumen plant now goes through a private for its analyzes. Excuse me for having doubts about what could be a conflict of interest.
I wait until next week (no one can be reached during the holiday season) to call the DREAL.
This problem is not local (egotistical) but others suffer the same nuisances and the first victims are the bitumen workers themselves. These are the reasons for my approach

This argument doesn't work, with me anyway, because we're all selfish, even the most selfless.
The altruist wouldn't do what he does if it didn't give him pleasure, to him. : Wink:

Child's reflection on the question what is an egoist?

"A selfish person is someone who does not think of me" To think about ...

From a distance I see, and a decision maker will see the same thing, that you have a personal problem, this factory and that you are looking for all possible and imaginable arguments, to justify its shutdown. In fact stopping the nuisance.
I'm not criticizing, everyone does that but it shows too much.
We have a desire (eg to no longer suffer the nuisance of the factory) and then we collect all the arguments to justify and confirm our desire.
It shows a little too much. We will answer you what Obamot said above and splash. and then the blackmail with unemployment replouf ...
We must play on the health aspect of the premises and too bad for the workers, it is up to them to defend their fat.

I do not claim to be good advice, after all you may be right, you may be at the origin of a movement that will spread and lead to great advances, who knows?

Opposite, I'm going to be my average citizen, your factory doesn't bother me, the road workers, I rarely see them, I have my personal nuisances (the neighbor's dogs, ...), and I find that there are other deeper and more fundamental issues, like reforming the whole company from the ground up, which will solve the bitumen problem, or not.

Sorry if I lowered your enthusiasm and so much the better if with my co ... ies, and by reaction of opposition, I reinforced you in your fight. : Wink:

Otherwise yes, difficult to find labs without conflict of interest ... I know something about it.

The same real problem today is the preservation of the environment. If I only fought for my factory, I wouldn't be there to justify myself to you.
I have been waiting for years for society to evolve, to be more sustainable and to pollute less even if I am an average consumer.
We only have to look along the roads to realize the waste we are leaving behind.
Every summer I go on vacation to Biarritz (magnificent region, culture ...) today I'm more afraid of plastic and other than my son swallows when he drinks the cup than drowning.
So yes, my petition concerns bitumen because it is a problem that concerns me directly, but we have to start somewhere.

It's kind of my problem. : roll:
We can see that things are not going well, we can see very little where to go and again not everyone agrees.

Difficult to get out of the current System which is a very sticky quagmire. For the moment it is considered impossible.

Will it take a crisis / collapse or what do I know doing a (destructive) mega reset to dare to be creative like after a war?

It is difficult to transit smoothly.
I know there are tips for but hey that's another subject ... : Wink:
