Student strikes in Quebec

by Other » 27/04/12, 00:46

Hello

How does the French media cover student strikes in Quebec?
Following the increase in school fees, the deaf dialogue, the government's unwillingness not to negotiate, tension is mounting between demonstrators and the police.
We are heading towards a May 1968
Personally the most violent are often those who are in ties, who abuse their power, provokes young people, controls media and information.
What they miss is all the information that circulates in social circles that which they cannot filter.

I admire the solidarity, the mobilization and the determination of our youth .. their organization and the way in which young people from 20ans verbally confront old seasoned politicians.
university education should not be reserved for a class of good natis of our society.

Nothing heard either in Belgium.

How much will these tuition fees be, what do we realize?

They will still be the cheapest in Canada !!!

The majority of students do not want this strike and we have too often folded by postponing for years the increased costs of these little spoiled babies!

Here is another opinion of a Quebecer> Canadian!

Hi Antoinet!

I would be if elsewhere it would be but it is not!

I like André even if he is on the side of Quebec separatists but I am on the side of the majority who simply do not want it!

This is a debate that has been going on for a long time here and that drives even family discussions in many cases! :|

Okay, numbers please:

in Belgium, the tuition (belgicism meaning tuition fees) of a high school or university is around 1500-1600 euros and we find it expensive.

In a royal conservatory (which also delivers master), it is 600 euros.

In Holland, as a foreigner registered at the Maastricht conservatory, my daughter paid 1600 euros.

On the other hand, from 2002 to 2005, at the National Conservatory of Paris, my son paid 400 euros

what is expensive is housing, transportation and books

And at your home ?

In principle it is the parents who pay for the studies and who provide for the needs of young people and this often exceed the majority
Quebec does not have to compare to the rest of Canada it is different.
As for the majority who do not want to be on strike, they have made votes and how to explain the large number of protesters?
Strangely, spoiled children, king children, it all comes from the same source.
Obviously by reading the press the newspapers of an illustrious family with well-known political idea, have not been able to have a real bearing of the situation.
The results will be known soon after an election.
social networks gives us another version ..
