by Ifem » 25/10/07, 11:57

Hello,

I am looking to install a solar panel system on my roof of my house.
Are any of you already installed or are studying this issue.
Do you have any advice recommendations to give me.
Thank you very much

Hello,

Could you tell us a little more? Are you looking to produce electricity or hot water? What are your needs? In which region are you and what is the situation of the house? Have you already contacted installers? .....

Thank you for your answer.
It would be to produce electricity, I am at the very beginning of my process, I live in the suburbs of Toulouse.
I would especially like to have feedback from people who have taken the plunge.

The electricity you produce with photovoltaic cell panels, it is very developed in Germany and California, but little in France. This production can be bought by EDF for 1 1/2 years if your panels produce more than you consume.

This system can only be installed by a professional because there must be a certificate of compliance so as not to do anything in your installation.

We have already talked about this subject, you have to search by typing "photovoltaic" in search and also in google or on the ADEME site.

There are plenty of reports on TV in the news and even very recently: Comparative Allemangne - south of France. In my opinion you will have a hard time because very few installers + panels and install. very expensive (In Germany it has been heavily subsidized for 10 years).

Hello ifem

Jean63 is right it is better to go through an "approved" installer to benefit from the subsidies and the EDF connection.

For exemple:

24 m2 PV at 2.9 kw
cost around € 25 including tax

Works subject to declaration in town hall.

The subsidies depend on the region, the department and the municipality and are not systematic. Must inquire.
And they are only paid after payment for the work. Must finance all!

Otherwise in the example

0 € Region
€ 9 Department
0 € Town Hall

€ 6 Tax credit
---------
15 900€

There is therefore around € 9 to be paid

20-year contract with EDF
Pv in roof integration
Annual EDF resale production: 4250 kw * 0.55 € = 2300 €

Hence 9000/2300 = 4 years for return on investment

Then still plan to replace some element such as the inverter

The method is not very correct, but hey we'll take it as a "joke" !! We will be wary now !!!!

Seriously we are really late in France when we see in Germany whole roofs covered with PV panels and at GOOGLE in California. They show us that every day on TV.

Will Grenelle do something to incitesr (tax deduction aids .... etc) individuals to install on their roofs?

See this link where it is about photovoltaic panels =>

For ifem : keep us informed of the results of your round table to know how many people who have already installed photovoltaics in France came and if they are satisfied (advantages / disadvantages).
