I have a lumberjack buddy (not the same as the one from forum) which makes log cabins of Douglas pine. He treats them with an organic stain, of Dutch brand I think, based on linseed oil. I have to buy him, I'll let you know if you're interested.

On the poles, there was the problem of creosote, already discussed in

Ah great, thank you Gegyx for these reassuring details. So Zac, it was boron salt or creosote (also used on SNCF sleepers) who had it on your posts ??

Hello

on the earth end creosote, boron and arsenic. : Evil:

on the end in the air just boron that's why we were not suspicious, the creosote side we protected (leather or tarpaulin). : Cry:

finally, do not become paranno; these posts dated 50 / 55 81 when that happened there were already practically more.
I think they all disappeared because of the state in which I was torn.

Yes thank you very much. I also chose wood to respect the environment, I would like to avoid treatment with toxic products! : Lol:

I found that:

based on linseed oil. : Cheesy:

You can already start by using linseed oil (+ a little drying agent to accelerate drying). It's green and cheap. It nourishes and waterproofs the wood.
