Did you know when you signed them that your contracts at €500/600/MWh had a duration of 20 years?
So don't come crying now, French consumers have already largely paid for your installations.

It's true, but why weren't we stupid enough to take this lucrative financial abyss?

Yes, I forgot, at the time, it seemed risky, and we preferred to buy candles....

With 2.5 kWp, the unused amount is not huge compared to the use.

Losing 1000 kWh returned to "EDF", is little compared to the 1500 kWh, used, not paid for....

network management costs, I probably participate more than you.

and who pays “what it costs” in your opinion? RTE’s philanthropy or Enedis’ generosity?

As usual, you oscillate between provocation, omission and unintelligible pirouette.

What more do you pay, apart from the management costs linked to the metering of the energy you inject?
How much does that represent per year?

Re: Purchase of solar energy

to return to the subject, our friend tells us that we are going to buy his solar electricity for 7,64 ct€/kWh when the network parity is at 15-20 ct€/kWh.

The kWh is sold even more expensive to customers over 36 kVA who are not under the protection of the “tariff shield”, up to 110 ct€/kWh
Why an increase in prices on the wholesale electricity market?

We see that the price of electricity in €/MWh on the European wholesale electricity market jumped in 2021. To be more precise, the price of Calendar 20222 even more than doubled, to exceed in December 2021, for the first time in its history, the symbolic bar of €400/MWh. The 2023 Calendar remained at a very high level in 2022, reaching a peak at the end of August 2022 at more than 1100 €/MWh. At the end of 2022, Calendar 2023 fell below €300/MWh, which remains very high.

Source EDF
An honest proposal would be a purchase of the kWh at grid parity price <36 kVA, which allows the depreciated power plants to continue their life while providing renewable and clean electricity at a competitive price.

The costs of managing and maintaining the electricity network are already financed by the connected customers, whether they are consumers or producers, or both.

more than 1000 kWh, you better insulate it.

The question of the end of the solar purchase obligation contract seems to be vast and not yet very clear...

here are the possible avenues
1) Switch to self-consumption
2) Valorize the surplus

Source: Solar in the North

It seems that "clean" electricity suppliers are offering new purchase contracts under probably very volatile conditions...
Resale to another supplier

You are free to sign a new contract with another supplier, for example from Enercoop, Urban Solar Energy or ekWateur.

‍Signing an EDF OA contract is interesting provided you complete the twenty-year period.

You can cancel it before the end, but most of the time compensation must be paid.

After twenty years, you have the choice of transferring your contract to another supplier, or consuming all of your production by storing it on a battery.

rural installations where no one consumes electricity locally, or not enough compared to large roof areas will have to find buyers.
